We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leader Patient Flow Operations to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. Reporting to the Utilization/Patient Flow Manager, this role is responsible for the Nursing Administration and coordination of safe, efficient patient care services within the facility.
The successful candidate will supervise nursing staff and coordinate all hospital and bed utilization activities in the absence of hospital administration. They will work collaboratively and consultatively with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and service providers to apply strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges and achieve high-quality, safe, and cost-effective services.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of exceptional patient care and experience.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nursing, preferably with a minimum of three years of medical/surgical experience or equivalent in an acute care setting. A minimum of two years of nursing management experience is also required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, planning, organization, and time management skills, as well as the ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations with patients, visitors, and other health professionals.
The successful candidate will also have the ability to match utilization needs to resources available, perform duties that involve lifting, bending, and stretching, and possess competencies in other languages, with French being an asset.
Hours and CompensationThis is a casual relief position, and the successful candidate will be compensated at a rate of $53.34 per hour.
