Executive Director Opportunity

Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre (HUCCHC) is seeking a seasoned leader to fill the role of Executive Director. As a non-profit, charitable, and community-governed organization, HUCCHC provides multi-disciplinary interprofessional health care framed by the social determinants of health.

The successful candidate will have proven senior management experience as a leader of a non-profit organization in the community health or social services field. They will be able to work collaboratively and consultatively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with other community agencies, boards of directors, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization in its mission to enhance the quality of life in the community
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals
  • Manage program development, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Foster a culture of excellence, equity, and inclusion within the organization

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in health care, public administration, or equivalent
  • Relevant work experience in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of success in community health or social services
  • Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
