Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Devices Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical equipment and devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, reprocess, and sterilize medical equipment and devices to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve issues and ensure the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive work environment by adhering to patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program or equivalent through an accredited college.
- Two years of experience working with complex surgical instruments and operating room instrumentation.
- Experience with low-temperature sterilization.
- Proficiency in computer systems and medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience in Central Service or Sterile Processing.
