Position Overview

The role of a Metal Fabrication Assistant at Lolimpin Gym Equipment Ltd. involves supporting the manufacturing process of metal products. This position is essential in ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • Conditions: The work environment may be dusty, hot, and noisy.
  • Setting: This position is located within a metal products manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery for cleaning metal surfaces, effectively removing welds, rust, and other contaminants.
  • Manually transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the production area.
  • Sort and categorize metal sheets, parts, and scrap materials.
  • Utilize hand tools to grind or chip excess metal from products.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines and work areas.
  • Polish metal items to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Interpret and follow work orders accurately.
Certifications
  • Must possess a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Specialization
  • Focus on welding processes and techniques.
Safety and Security
  • Must be bondable.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and engage in physically demanding work.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of handling heavy loads, with a maximum weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Tools and Equipment
