Senior Associate, Civil/Structural Group

30 Forensic Engineering is a leading multi-disciplinary forensic firm in Canada, renowned for its technical excellence and commitment to ethical practice. Our team of professional engineers, investigators, and support staff serves a diverse range of industries, including Construction, Infrastructure, Transportation, and more.

Our Civil/Structural group provides a comprehensive range of services related to the integrity of the built environment, including failure analysis, structural assessment, and professional consultation services. The Senior Associate will report directly to the Practice Lead and Regional Director, collaborating with subject matter experts to consult with clients, perform examinations, and prepare technical reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site examinations, document reviews, and effectively communicate investigation and analysis findings to colleagues and clients.
  • Report to the Civil-Structural Team and work closely with the Practice Lead on day-to-day tasks, performance management, professional development, and strategic goals.
  • Prepare structural calculations, simulations, and technical drawings from field measurements, sketches, and other data.
  • Develop technical reports and drawings based on sound investigations and analysis.
  • Manage client service deadlines, budgeting, invoicing, and accounts receivable on projects according to organizational best practices.
  • Manage projects efficiently and adhere to billing and reporting requirements and/or client-based master service agreements.

Requirements:

  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively.
  • Proficient in learning computer applications, including business operation metrics and MS Office Suite.
