Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Yorkdale Cafe Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure the cafe's financial stability and growth.
    • Monitor cash flow, manage inventory, and optimize pricing strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Customer Service
    • Develop and implement customer service strategies to ensure exceptional customer experience and loyalty.
    • Train and supervise staff to provide top-notch customer service.
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of staff members.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve staff performance.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Oversee the daily operations of the cafe, including food preparation, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant or cafe management role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Work Environment

The Restaurant Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Work Hours

The work hours are 35 to 40 hours per week.
