Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our operating room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator of the Operating Room to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Participate in mandatory rotating on-call for weekdays and weekends per month, as well as OR/PARR/daycare surgery rotations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to perioperative nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Completion of a post-graduate perioperative nursing course, or two (2) years recent experience in an equivalent setting with a minimum of two (2) years of OR/PARR Nursing experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the health care team.
