We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room and perioperative setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator of the Operating Room to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote safe and competent patient care.
- Participate in mandatory rotating on-call shifts and OR/PARR/daycare surgery rotations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Completion of a post-graduate perioperative nursing course, or two (2) years recent experience in an equivalent setting with a minimum of two (2) years of OR/PARR Nursing experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the health care team.
- Ability to communicate and maintain good public relations with family and friends of patients.
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation.
- Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
