Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial operations, including month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Manage direct reports, including accounts receivable, accounting administrator, and administrative assistant.
  • Oversee payroll processing for Canadian and USA operations.
  • Review and finalize commission workings for sales and service account managers.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal reporting requirements.
  • Oversee grant submissions and amortization assets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, accounting, finance, or similar.
  • CPA/CGM designation or in progress.
  • 2-5 years' experience in a progressive accounting role with a leadership component in Canada.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks (QBO) or other accounting software programs.
  • Expert level in Excel.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Experience with US tax and payroll would be considered an asset.
