Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory decisions.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, providing assistance with immediate settlement needs.
    • Support social and labor market integration, facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Support for Youths
    • Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment, offering on-the-job training tailored to youth.
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people, providing cultural competency training and awareness training to employees.
    • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Language
    • English.
  • Work Hours
    • 30 to 36 hours per week.
