Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team at the City of Mississauga. As a key member of our Service Desk, you will provide exceptional technical support and resolution to our clients via multiple intake sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support and resolution to clients via phone, email, and webform
  • Log and track support calls in a call ticketing system and prioritize and escalate tickets as required
  • Administer user accounts and passwords, and provide standard software support and troubleshooting
  • Provide initial hardware support and troubleshooting for a wide variety of computing devices and peripherals
  • Work collaboratively with the team to resolve problems and provide excellent customer service
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science or related field, with 1-3 years of experience in Help Desk administration and support
  • Excellent communication, organization, and administrative skills, with a strong customer focus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCSM, Active Directory, and Microsoft SCCM, as well as a wide variety of software applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
