Position Overview
As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will report directly to the Client Service Manager. This role is essential within our interprofessional healthcare team, focusing on providing ongoing care to clients.

Your responsibilities will include observing, monitoring, and reporting on client conditions, ensuring that any changes are communicated to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

In accordance with Carewest's standards and policies, you will deliver prescribed medications accurately and maintain professional and ethical conduct at all times.

Program Focus:
Our Complex Care program is designed for seniors who require the expertise of an interdisciplinary team to enhance their quality of life in safe and supportive environments.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 and an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
  • Physically capable of assisting with the lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active registration in the Alberta HCA Directory.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
