- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance plans for parks, gardens, and outdoor spaces.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Create detailed estimates for projects, including labour and material costs.
- Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate and supervise the construction of landscapes, including planting, pruning, and other tasks.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and contractors.
- Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret and understand blueprints and drawings for construction projects.
- Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that equipment is in good working order and perform repairs as needed.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to team members to improve efficiency and quality.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to meet project deadlines.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
