Position Overview

We are currently in search of a Lead Process Engineering Specialist to join our esteemed Project Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in overseeing and executing capital initiatives that involve the installation and enhancement of biopharmaceutical process systems, facilities, and utilities within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage capital projects throughout their entire lifecycle, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and interdepartmental coordination.
  • Develop project scopes based on client specifications, conduct cost assessments, and prepare financial documentation.
  • Facilitate design evaluations, including specifications and procurement management, for equipment and facilities related to biologics production.
  • Generate user requirements and technical specifications to support automation processes.
  • Conduct engineering calculations for sizing process lines and equipment, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Identify resource requirements for projects, both internally and externally.
  • Assist in procurement activities and generate purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Oversee the mechanical design of vendor-fabricated equipment, ensuring alignment with internal standards.
  • Manage validation processes for equipment and facilities to confirm operational integrity and compliance with design parameters.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders in line with company protocols.
  • Maintain prolonged periods of sitting as required by the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering or operational experience.
  • Extensive experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and equipment troubleshooting.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with cGMP and Good Documentation practices.
  • Technical expertise in Engineering, Maintenance, and Instrumentation is highly desirable.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficient project management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of P&ID drawings and related schematics.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to foster positive relationships across various organizational levels.
  • Ability to navigate complex challenges and make informed decisions within established guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly through various channels.
