Job Summary:

Lakeside Process Controls Ltd. is a leading provider of automation solutions to various industries. We are seeking a skilled Technician, Combustion Services Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site services, including configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
  • Follow through with customer maintenance contract work, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Consult technical documentation, such as schematics, manuals, and standards, to resolve complex issues.
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation.
  • Calibrate components and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work towards obtaining a G1 Gas Technician license to support industrial boiler and burner applications.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customers' personnel in various departments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote a team approach within Lakeside Process Controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support main objectives.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified journeyperson or possess an Instrumentation Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years' prior experience in a related field.
  • Strong customer service skills and advanced troubleshooting abilities.
  • Intermediate understanding and implementation of CSA B149 Code.
  • Able to climb ladders/stairs and work at heights.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting knowledge of various Burner Management Systems and Controls.
  • Knowledge of measurement devices, electronics, and basic electrical requirements.
  • Ability to make recommendations and combustion curve changes based on portable gas analyzer data.
  • Knowledge of process control and strong ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Previous exposure to programming and wiring of PLC's, DCS's, and single loop controllers is an asset.
  • Proficient in computer operating systems and software applications.
  • Training and presentation skills, as well as project management skills.
