About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dining Service Attendant to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in and contribute to our Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Program.
  • Serve meals in the dining room to residents and guests.
  • Set dining room tables and clear the dining room of dishes, utensils, etc.
  • Clean and vacuum the dining room as required.
  • Wash dishes, pots, and clean kitchen equipment and area, as assigned according to established cleaning procedures.
  • Handle vouchers for meal guests.
  • Serve snacks.
  • Portion desserts for serving in the dining room.
  • Receive and store food supplies.
  • Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation of food and assembly of salad/sandwich plates, as assigned.
  • Maintain effective communication, both written and verbal, with co-workers.
  • Perform other dietary-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 education.
  • Able to follow written and oral instructions and speak and write fluent English.
  • Dependable, responsible, and willing to learn.
  • A pleasant, outgoing personality is required.
  • An understanding of food service and preparation with Safe Food Handling Certificate is essential.
