Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing proactive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance programs based on sound reliability centered maintenance (RCM) strategies.
  • Collaborate with operations, production planning, and reliability teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Schedule maintenance activities using SAP and ensure equipment is maintained with minimal production interruption.
  • Preserve the integrity of the CMMS system through table updates, reporting analysis, and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Identify and resolve potential problems, recommending opportunities to improve the process and drive increased reliability.
  • Develop and maintain annual overhaul plans and conduct related communications with production and maintenance leadership.
  • Analyze reports and troubleshoot areas of downtime concerns, through management of meetings, job site visits, and follow-up as required.
  • Resolve all maintenance-related issues in a timely manner, taking into consideration Food Safety, H&S, budget, and environmental factors.
  • Work with MRO to ensure all parts are available for planned maintenance and collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to achieve reliability KPI targets.
  • Develop SOPs, workflows, and Key Performance Indicators as required.
  • Monitor and maintain all aspects of the CMMS system and serve as a CMMS Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Requirements:
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, or technology graduate or 5 years of related maintenance trade work experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in preventative maintenance planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of RCM, TPM, and SAP.
  • Strong MS Office computer skills.
