About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respectful Workplace Consultant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organization's culture and ensure a safe and supportive work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and consultation on respectful workplace investigations, prevention, and education
  • Develop and maintain policies and programs aligned with best practices, legislation, and case law
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, Occupational Health team, and Professional Practice Consultants
  • Provide coaching, support, and guidance to employees to prevent formal complaints and support parties during and after investigations
  • Develop and provide education on respectful workplace, investigations, and reconciliation
Requirements
  • Graduate of post-secondary degree and/or Certificate Program in relevant programs, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), or other relevant professional certification or designation
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience providing human resource services, coaching, and conflict resolution services in a complex unionized environment
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitation and adult education
  • Formal training and/or experience in mediation and conflict resolution required
  • Formal training in conducting workplace investigations and assessments, and writing reports
  • Knowledge of cultural responsiveness and trauma-informed approach
  • Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law
  • Experience interpreting collective agreements and policies
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships
  • High level of competence in both written and verbal communication
