As a vital part of our grocery operations, you will play a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth running of our department. Your contributions will be essential in delivering a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement directives from the grocery manager regarding task assignments, procurement, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
  • Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the grocery manager, overseeing departmental operations, employee scheduling, purchasing, promotional activities, and inventory control.
  • Manage procurement of specific grocery items from approved suppliers.
  • Engage with vendor representatives to maintain strong business relationships.
  • Receive, inspect, and organize goods for sale, ensuring proper storage in designated areas.
  • Label and arrange products on shelves according to departmental guidelines.
  • Adjust pricing on shelves and products as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations among staff.
  • Conduct regular inventory assessments.
  • Promote various products and services available in the department.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a grocery or retail environment.
  • Previous management experience is highly regarded.
