Teaching Assistant - Business Optimization Analytics

Course Title: Business Optimization Analytics

Supervisor: Antoine Sauré

Responsibilities:

The role encompasses various tasks, including:

  • Student Interaction: 36 hours dedicated to engaging with students.
  • Proctoring: 6 hours allocated for supervising examinations.
  • Additional Duties: 5 hours for miscellaneous responsibilities.

Total Work Hours: 47 hours

Work Duration: September to December

Language Requirement: English

Compensation:

Graduate Hourly Rate: $53.56

Undergraduate Hourly Rate: $33.99

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum C.G.P.A. of 8.0.
  2. Grade of A- in ADM 4363 or equivalent.
  3. Grade of A- in ADM2302 and 2303 or equivalent or prior TA experience.
  4. Strong foundation in optimization techniques.
  5. Proficiency in GAMS or OPL optimization software.
  6. Previous TA experience in the course is advantageous.
  7. Experience with online course delivery is a plus.
  8. Familiarity with online videoconferencing tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom) is beneficial.

Additional Information:

Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the course professor/coordinator. The number of hours may increase based on student registration. The hiring process adheres to the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
