Job Overview

Red Stone Contracting INC is seeking a dedicated Tilesetter to join our skilled workforce. This role involves working in both commercial and residential settings, providing high-quality tile installation services.

Education Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Work Environment

The position will require flexibility to work at various locations, adapting to different project needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces for tile application.
  • Mix and apply mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels.
  • Create rough plans and sketches for tile layouts.
  • Set tiles in position and apply pressure to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Align and straighten tiles for a flawless finish.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for projects.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using both hand and power cutting tools.
  • Pack grout into joints and remove any excess material.
  • Replace cracked or damaged tiles as necessary.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects.
Physical Demands

This role is physically demanding and requires:

  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
