Key Responsibilities


• Maintain a positive and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers in person.


• Efficiently sort, collect, and deliver mail items in a safe and timely manner.


• Develop and retain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, clients, and delivery points.


• Ensure the secure handling of mail during delivery.

Additional Responsibilities

Manage various Canada Post products and services, including Change of Address Notifications and Damaged Mail. Display Canada Post identification while delivering and collecting mail. Lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lb/22.7 kg. Have experience in making deliveries and operating a vehicle under various weather and traffic conditions.

Important Information

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following vehicle requirements:

Maintain a satisfactory safe driving record. Hold a valid permanent provincial driver's license - class 5 or G. Have a minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters). Possess an automatic transmission vehicle. Ensure the vehicle has power windows. The vehicle must have a metal roof-top and accessory power outlet for Canada Post signage. The height of the passenger window sill should be between 38" and 45" from the ground, with a maximum interior width of 56". A fifth door or hatchback is preferred for accommodating oversized items. Provide and maintain the necessary automobile liability insurance for vehicle use. Inform your insurance provider about the vehicle's use while employed at Canada Post.
