Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Library Assistant at Algonquin College. As a key member of our library team, you will provide exceptional support to learners and contribute to the maintenance of our physical library materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform shelving, shelf-reading, and general upkeep of the physical collection.
  • Assist staff with opening mail, loose-leaf filing for legal collection, and creating/updating physical marketing materials.
  • Support library team at marketing events and assist clients with directional queries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current Algonquin College student registered for the Fall 2024 semester.
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
  • One year of experience in a library setting is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and complete projects with minimal direction.
