Job Title: Thrift Store Sales Associate

This role is part of our retail team at The Salvation Army Thrift Store. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the Thrift Store Manager in achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance with purchases.
  • Store Maintenance: Restock shelves, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and ensure that all merchandise is properly priced and displayed.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with receiving and processing inventory, including sorting and pricing donations.
  • Checkout Operations: Operate the cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, peers, and management.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work cooperatively with others to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.
  • Salvation Army Mission: Familiarity with the Salvation Army Mission Statement and values.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
