Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Care Aide to join our team at Northern Haida Gwaii Hospital in Masset, BC. As a Registered Care Aide, you will work under the functional direction of a Registered Nurse or other designate to assist in the delivery of client care in accordance with established policies, standards, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of client care in accordance with established policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Work under the functional direction of a Registered Nurse or other designate.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
