Long-Term Care Occupational Therapist

- Completion of a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy. Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC);
- Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT); and
- Familiarity with contemporary Occupational standards, modalities, and scope of practice, along with three (3) years of recent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proficient in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents, families, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Competence in performing the responsibilities associated with the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment effectively.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, tact, empathy, and initiative.
- Excellent observation and assessment skills.
- Clinical competence aligned with the specific needs of the service area.
