- Completion of an accredited university program in Occupational Therapy. Active full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC);
- Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT); and
- Familiarity with contemporary Occupational standards, treatment modalities, and scope of practice, along with three (3) years of recent relevant experience or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proficient in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Occupational proficiency to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
- Capability to operate necessary equipment.
- Ability to exhibit sound judgment, empathy, tact, and initiative.
- Strong observational and assessment skills.
- Demonstrated clinical competence aligned with the specific needs of the service area.
