Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Subway Sandwiches. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of dedicated staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Restaurant Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing inventory, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that every customer has a positive experience, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching to help staff improve their skills and performance.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies and products as needed to ensure that the restaurant is always fully stocked.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that the restaurant is maintained in a clean and safe environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong attention to detail.
