We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Communications Specialist to join our team at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process incoming calls, prioritizing and responding to critical alarms and emergencies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, utilizing clear and concise verbal communications to answer and direct telephone calls.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to resolve issues and provide support.
- Stay up-to-date with medical terminology and healthcare policies to provide accurate information and support.
- Secondary School Graduation required.
- Post-secondary diploma in a relevant discipline, such as Office Administration – Health Services, preferred.
- Medical Terminology course required or willingness to complete within one year of hire date.
- 3 years of office experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, is an asset.
- Previous call centre experience, including on a Cisco Unified Attendant Console and Hill-Rom notification system, is an asset.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Outlook, Office, Excel, and SharePoint, and ability to work comfortably in a computerized environment.
