Position Overview

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive corporate legal support. This role demands a highly organized individual with exceptional multitasking abilities and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of corporate legal documents, including but not limited to incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, continuances, dissolutions, and various share transactions.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of minute books and rectifying any discrepancies.
  • Drafting closing agendas and managing related correspondence.
  • Engaging with attorneys and clients to clarify and confirm instructions.
  • Providing mentorship and training to junior Corporate Services staff.
  • Performing additional administrative tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal in a corporate legal setting.
  • Possession of a Paralegal Certificate or Diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Familiarity with BC Online, ALF, Outlook, and Word.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage a substantial workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
