Imam - Spiritual Leader

Bridges of Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Imam to join our team. As a Spiritual Leader, you will be responsible for providing spiritual guidance and support to our community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Religious Services: Lead prayers, sermons, and other spiritual activities to promote a sense of community and spiritual growth.
- Supervise Staff: Oversee the work of office and volunteer staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent support to our community.
- Administer Rites of Faith: Perform marriages, funerals, and other spiritual ceremonies with dignity and respect.
- Develop Educational Programs: Plan and implement programs of religious education that cater to the needs of our community.
- Promote Spirituality: Deliver sermons, talks, and other spiritual messages to inspire and motivate our community.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative and office activities, including record-keeping and communication with stakeholders.
- Security and Safety: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security protocols to ensure the safety of our community.
- Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment, combining sitting, standing, and walking to meet the demands of the role.
- Personal Suitability: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a team player attitude.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: Bilingual (English and French).
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Hours: 16 to 48 hours per month.
