Position Overview

As a Metal Fabrication Trainee at SAM SIGNS INC., you will gain hands-on experience in the welding industry, focusing on various metalworking techniques and equipment operation.

Educational Requirements
  • No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and interpret welding process specifications.
  • Operate both manual and automated welding machinery.
  • Utilize flame-cutting equipment for metal shaping.
  • Use brakes, shears, and other metal forming machines.
  • Fit, braze, and straighten metal using torches.
  • Handle hoisting and lifting equipment safely.
  • Work with pre-set welding machines to fabricate or repair metal components.
  • Utilize brazing or soldering machines for metal bonding tasks.
  • Manage the startup, shutdown, and monitoring of robotic welding production lines.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding and soldering equipment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding tasks are involved.
Required Tools and Equipment
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Safety glasses or goggles.
  • Protective gloves.
Experience Level
