Senior Manager, Federal Funding and Partnerships

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Federal Contributions and Relations. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as expertise in financial management, contract negotiation, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, negotiate, and implement agreements between the Government of Nunavut and the Federal Government and third parties related to investments in transformative public infrastructure in Nunavut.
- Advise on contract negotiations and documentation, and complete internal/external reporting requirements.
- Provide objective analysis, support, and advice to capital planning decision makers in various GN departments for federal funding programs.
- Work with staff across the Department of Community and Government Services, as well as staff from other departments and Crown Corporations to coordinate and obtain input in developing applications for federal funding and undertake associated planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and other financial requirements.
- Manage the human and financial resources of the Federal Contributions and Relations Unit and work independently with minimal supervision.
- A recognized relevant degree, along with five (5) years of financial management experience, including contracts and financial analysis.
- One (1) year of progressive supervisory or management experience.
- A CPA designation will be considered an asset.
- Fluency in two or more of Nunavut's official languages would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut, and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment are also considered assets.
- A competitive salary range of $117,746 to $133,647 per year.
- A Northern Allowance of $16,008 per year.
