Job Summary

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled Federal Agreement Specialist to coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic infrastructure projects. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic infrastructure projects
  • Advise on contract negotiations and documentation
  • Complete internal and external reporting requirements
  • Provide objective analysis, support, and advice to capital planning decision makers
  • Administer, document, analyze, and plan to support applications for federal funding
  • Negotiate and implement agreements for federal funding
Requirements
  • Recognized university degree in accounting, business, planning, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut, and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in two or more of Nunavut's official languages
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards, Financial Administrative Manual, Financial Administrative Act, GN legislation, directives, policies, and employment agreements

  • Competitive salary range: $97,372 to $110,510 per year
  • Northern Allowance: $16,008 per year
