Position Overview:
The Institute for Management and Innovation is seeking a qualified individual for a Sessional Lecturer role in the Business Minor program. This position is aimed at candidates who are not currently enrolled at the University of Toronto.

Course Information:
Course Title: Technology Strategy, IMI303H (1 module)
Class Schedule: Weekly sessions on Fridays from 11 AM to 1 PM

Appointment Duration:
September to December

Course Description:
This course provides an exploration of the intersection between business growth and competitive strategy, particularly in science-driven enterprises. It emphasizes the importance of innovation, intellectual property rights, and capital acquisition for entrepreneurial ventures. Students will engage with fundamental economic and strategic concepts, applying theoretical frameworks to real-world business scenarios.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will undertake all standard responsibilities associated with the design, administration, and instruction of a university-level credit course. This includes:
1. Preparation and delivery of course materials.
2. Oversight of teaching assistants.
3. Development, administration, and grading of assignments, tests, and examinations.
4. Calculation and submission of student grades.
5. Maintaining regular office hours for student consultations.

Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will possess a completed PhD in a relevant field or be in progress towards a graduate degree from a non-University of Toronto institution, along with relevant professional qualifications or experience. A strong background in teaching, particularly in a similar course, is highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with a rank of Sessional Lecturer II or III.

Compensation:
Salary is determined per module, with anticipated enrolment of 50 students and a minimum of 40 hours of TA support.
