Hardware Integration Engineer

CB Canada is seeking a skilled Hardware Integration Engineer/Hardware Designer to work on current-generation and next-generation custom servers, with custom PCI blades and high-performance components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop prime hardware design for new products
  • Provide field support for existing hardware product lines
  • Manage supply chain support for custom printed circuit boards and hardware assemblies
  • Execute the PCN/ECR process
  • Ensure product material compliance (RoHS, conflict minerals, etc)
  • Monitor and develop solutions for CVEs in hardware and firmware
  • Manage approvals testing for new hardware assemblies
  • Develop near-hardware product software (drivers, POST, sensors, etc)

Requirements:

  • Experience developing volume products with high-performance server components
  • Extensive experience with Linux as a developer or administrator
  • Familiarity with networking standards and components
  • Working with component vendors, design firms, and contract manufacturers
  • Familiarity with environmental standards and compliance testing
  • Previous experience with ERP/MRP systems and PCN/ECR processes
  • Printed circuit board component selection, design, and layout
  • Embedded system firmware development
  • Mechanical or electromechanical design
  • Familiarity with customs, regulations, and licensing required for global product distribution
