Job Summary:

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and integrating custom hardware components for our next-generation servers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom hardware components, including PCI blades and high-performance components.
  • Provide field support for existing hardware product lines, ensuring seamless integration with software and firmware.
  • Manage supply chain logistics for custom printed circuit boards and hardware assemblies.
  • Develop and maintain PCN/ECR processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor and address CVEs in hardware and firmware, ensuring the highest level of security.
  • Manage testing and approvals for new hardware assemblies, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
  • Collaborate with design subcontractors to develop mechanical, electrical, and branding designs.
  • Develop near-hardware product software, including drivers, POST, and sensors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing volume products with high-performance server components.
  • Extensive experience with Linux as a developer or administrator.
  • Familiarity with networking standards and components.
  • Working knowledge of component vendors, design firms, and contract manufacturers.
  • Familiarity with environmental standards and compliance testing.
  • Previous experience with ERP/MRP systems and PCN/ECR processes.
  • Printed circuit board component selection, design, and layout.
  • Embedded system firmware development.
  • Mechanical or electromechanical design.
  • Familiarity with customs, regulations, and licensing required for global product distribution.
