About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Lead to join our team at Geotab Inc. As a Technical Operations Lead, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining Geotab's critical enterprise IT applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the IT Applications team, ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of Geotab's IT applications.
  • Cloud Architecture: Design and implement cloud-based solutions using cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
  • IT Application Support: Provide technical support for Geotab's IT applications, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, security teams, and other technical teams to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of Geotab's IT applications.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for Geotab's IT applications, including configuration, processes, and procedures.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical guidance and support to ensure their success.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies, containerization, GitOps, and automation.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Containerization: Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • GitOps: Experience with GitOps tools such as Flux, ArgoCD, and Helm.
  • Automation: Experience with automation tools such as GitLab and PowerShell.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
