Position Overview:

We are in search of a Product Development Manager - Roofing Solutions to become a vital part of our Product Management Division. This role will involve a combination of onsite responsibilities and occasional travel within North America.

Your Role:

As a pivotal member of the ROCKWOOL Product Management Division, you will oversee our Roofing, Core Solutions, and Curtain Wall & Fire Stopping product lines. This multifaceted position requires collaboration with various departments including sales, marketing, operations, finance, and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

In this capacity, you will be responsible for:

  1. Identifying and analyzing new product and market opportunities, conducting thorough market assessments, and formulating business cases to support the advancement of these opportunities.
  2. Crafting go-to-market strategies for the product portfolio and adjusting them as necessary.
  3. Utilizing your knowledge of building regulations and construction methodologies to assess new product possibilities.
  4. Creating compelling value propositions for ROCKWOOL's stone wool offerings based on insights gathered from market research and customer feedback.
  5. Leading the pricing strategy for products, ensuring profitability while collaborating with sales and specifications teams to drive business growth.
  6. Executing product management initiatives effectively.
  7. Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders across ROCKWOOL, including finance, sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain.
  8. Maintaining strong partnerships with third-party system collaborators.
  9. Leveraging insights from the ROCKWOOL Group network to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  10. Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product portfolio, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  11. Managing product SKUs to ensure profitability and executing phase-out strategies when required.
Qualifications:
  1. A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in product management, market analysis, or financial analysis.
  3. Commercial experience in building materials or architectural consulting.
  4. Proven ability to prepare and present business cases for new product initiatives.
  5. Experience managing a diverse portfolio of product SKUs and understanding their KPIs.
  6. Familiarity with the Stage-Gate process in product development.
  7. Knowledge of US and Canadian building codes and construction types, particularly regarding insulation.
  8. Experience with business systems, preferably SAP.
  9. Project management certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma are advantageous.
  10. Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  11. Strong relationship-building capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
  12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  13. Willingness to travel as required.
