Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong ethical foundation, exceptional sales leadership capabilities, and a keen business insight to spearhead our strategic initiatives in Canada. This pivotal role involves defining and executing the strategic and business development objectives for our organization, with a focus on large-scale capital projects overseen by EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) firms. The successful candidate will manage a team of Strategic Account Managers throughout Canada and take charge of the Ontario sales territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development:
    • Formulate B2B market strategies aimed at enhancing business opportunities in Canada.
    • Identify and recommend viable sub-segments and markets for pursuit.
    • Collaborate with the Project Management team to devise product and pricing strategies.
    • Initiate and develop sales campaigns within designated market channels.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Transform the organization towards a vertical sales structure.
    • Provide guidance, communication, and mentorship to direct reports across Canada.
    • Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, accountability, and self-assurance.
  • New Business Development:
    • Oversee a national sales pipeline to ensure the achievement of sales objectives utilizing corporate CRM tools.
    • Manage the Ontario sales territory effectively.
    • Identify new business opportunities through comprehensive research.
    • Lead key negotiations with both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of several years of sales experience with a proven track record in wholesale distribution and EPC markets.
  • Experience in cultivating senior-level relationships both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to negotiate, influence, and manage change effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities; a collaborative team player.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • High professionalism with a strong sense of urgency and results-driven mindset.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical products, including lighting, switchgear, controls, and cables.
  • Experience in construction project sales within sectors such as Oil and Gas, Metals and Mining, and Power.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to multicultural and dynamic environments.
  • Experience in both direct and matrix management roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
