Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team at BC Cancer. As a Registered Nurse in Oncology, you will play a vital role in providing holistic care to patients with cancer, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatments and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to Oncology patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of care plans.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans, and provide ongoing assessment and support.
  • Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as required, and monitor patient reactions and responses.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR (Level C) certification.
  • One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Relevant clinical knowledge and experience in Oncology nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
