We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Community Living Trent Highlands. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Provide support and guidance to individuals in achieving their educational goals, including assisting with homework and accessing educational resources.
  • Work Setting
    • Work in a group home setting, providing support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
    • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold a valid Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
    • Hold a valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Target Audience
    • Support individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • Security and Safety
    • Undergo a criminal record check and maintain a valid driver's license.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in your care.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Use your own transportation to travel to and from work locations.
    • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, judgment, and a client-focused approach.
    • Show flexibility and initiative in your work.
    • Work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Screening Questions
