About the Role

The Government of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects that span multiple programs. As a key member of the Provincial Priorities Branch, you will utilize your expertise in project and change management to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage large-scale projects with multiple delivery components
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with executives and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement complex projects, including business planning, contract management, and financial management
  • Supervise and coach senior-level professionals and managers in the development and implementation of projects
  • Directly supervise staff, including assigning work and monitoring employee performance
Requirements
  • Master's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years' experience at a senior level leading major projects of large scale and complexity
  • Proven track record of establishing collaborative relationships with executives and leading organizational change
  • Experience in business planning, contract management, financial management, and negotiations
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Lean Certification
  • Experience working with Indigenous clients and partners in the social sector
  • Experience managing projects in the childcare and/or social sector and/or a public-facing social service delivery organization
