Senior Employee and Labour Relations Specialist

At Lakehead University, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employee and Labour Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on labour relations matters, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement labour relations strategies to promote a positive and respectful work environment
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on labour relations matters, including collective bargaining, grievances, and labour disputes
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations on labour-related issues
  • Develop and deliver training programs on labour relations and HR-related topics

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Labour Relations, Industrial Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in labour relations, HR, or a related field
  • Proven track record of providing expert advice and guidance on labour relations matters
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
