Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Colonial Countertops Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles on walls and floors, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and install ceramic tiles on walls and floors, following established patterns and designs.
  • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a level and even surface.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on tile installation techniques.
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets as required.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite tiles.
  • Install tile strips to complete the installation.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with heavy loads and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to work with precision.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
