Position Overview:

The Exercise Specialist plays a vital role in delivering direct client services, which include assessment, treatment, and expert consultation. This position involves active participation in departmental and corporate professional activities that align with our mission to provide exceptional client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct client services with a focus on evaluation and treatment.
  • Engage in departmental and corporate initiatives that support client care and organizational goals.
  • Provide float support across various programs utilizing Exercise Specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Standards while promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics or a related field is required.
  • Preferred: Registration as a Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario.
  • Experience in cardiac rehabilitation or chronic disease management is essential, with a minimum of two years preferred.
  • Specialization in Applied Kinesiology or Movement Sciences is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret cardiac monitoring is preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Preferred certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine or the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology.
  • Current membership in the Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation is preferred.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License with access to a vehicle and insurance.
  • Commitment to quality enhancement activities and teamwork.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Additional Information:
