Position: Sales Consultant

Metro Hardwood Floors Ltd is a reputable flooring provider based in Calgary, Alberta, operating since 2001. We pride ourselves on being professional, customer-focused, and innovative, seeking to enhance our sales team with a dedicated individual. This role will primarily involve working with residential flooring, emphasizing retail, new construction, and renovation projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Sales Consultant will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Employing consultative selling techniques to foster strong client relationships
  • Clearly articulating the features and advantages of our flooring solutions
  • Managing the showroom and overseeing sold projects
  • Preparing job quotations and contracts
  • Overseeing project management from initiation to completion

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Preferred educational background in university or college, though not mandatory for the right candidate
  • Basic understanding of construction, interior finishes, and flooring materials
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Proven history of achieving and surpassing sales targets
  • Possession of a personal vehicle is required
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Employment Type: Full Time

Compensation:

Base salary starting from $50,000.00 per year, with additional commission pay opportunities.

Commute Requirements:

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years in sales is required.

Licensing:

  • A valid Driving Licence is mandatory.
