Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at Home Flooring Inc. as a permanent employee.

Job Description:

Job Summary: As a Flooring Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring, including hardwood, carpet, and resilient flooring. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality installations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Install carpeting, hardwood, and resilient flooring
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
  • Install resilient stair components and vinyl decking materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in flooring installation
  • Knowledge of flooring materials and installation techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
