Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong engineering background and a solid understanding of aircraft systems. As a Test Expert at CAE, you will collaborate with Military Training Specialists and engineering teams on a variety of projects, encompassing fixed wing, rotary wing, rear crew, remote piloted aircraft, and naval simulators.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct verification and validation for synthetic training devices:

  • Develop project engineering test plans for Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
  • Execute engineering testing tasks that require a comprehensive understanding of aviation and simulation techniques, both internally and during customer acceptance phases.
  • Document test outcomes and provide insights to the project team.
  • Participate in requirement and design reviews, ensuring that V&V best practices are integrated into your project and identifying potential risks.
  • Proactively engage in the resolution of issues as early as possible during project execution.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to prepare qualification documentation that demonstrates simulator compliance with regulations and represent CAE before qualification authorities to ensure successful certification.
  • Oversee V&V budget and timeline, reporting any risks to the project team.
  • Conduct independent analyses and offer recommendations to enhance software and hardware development processes.
  • Optimize the use of computer tools to facilitate engineering testing.

Our ideal candidate possesses:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience (familiarity with aircraft systems, pilot license, etc.).
  • Understanding of internal procedures (software, manufacturing, etc.) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site work.
  • Strong communication skills and bilingual proficiency in French and English.
