About Your Role

As a Retail Store Manager with PetSmart, you will oversee all aspects of our retail store, from hiring and training knowledgeable associates to executing strategic merchandising initiatives. You will set the standard of success within our stores, making a real difference for your associates, pet parents, and pets in our care.

About Our Teams

In our stores, we have various teams working together to ensure efficient operations. You will lead an Assistant Manager, Service Managers, and Department Managers in the following areas:

  • Customer Engagement: Our Customer Engagement team ensures that customers have the right solutions for their pets. They support store initiatives and lead a team of Pet Care Associates to maintain a safe and clean environment for all pets.
  • Merchandising & Inventory: Our Merchandise and Inventory teams play a crucial role in helping pet parents find what they need. They execute plan-o-grams, organize promotional and sale price changes, and oversee In-Store Pick Up Orders.
  • Associate Leadership: Our Associate Lead ensures that teams have the education they need to advise pet parents, complete pet safety inspections, and support the Store Manager on company initiatives.
  • Services: Our Grooming Salon and Pets Hotel teams work in partnership with the Store Manager to drive business success.
  • Overall Retail Initiatives: You and your teams will drive sales and traffic targets, execute strategic merchandising initiatives, and set standards of success within our retail store.
